Today was a good Sunday. Since Grandma and Grandpa Bradbury were here, Michael and I went to early church up at Zion with Dan while David and Sarah went to Sunday School here. Dan did a fun children's sermon at both churches. It involved a dead stick, a flowerpot, and a list of instructions. David was especially amused by the idea of Daddy giving a stick a list of things to do and expecting it to do them. David said, "A stick doesn't have a head, and it doesn't have legs, so it just sits like this (sticking arms out)!" Sarah sneaked off into the banner storage room during the talk, but came back out eventually, so I didn't have to go retrieve her. Michael just laughed at Daddy's funny story.
After church, we went to the local ambulance soup dinner fundraiser and enjoyed soup, sandwiches, and yummy dessert. Even Michael enjoyed the potato soup.
We spent the rest of the day sleeping, playing trains, and running around outside. Sarah and David got out the sidewalk chalk and started decorating the wooden swingset, so it is pretty again!
Dan made us waffles for supper, and then we began the extended bedtime routine. Fortunately, they kids all went to sleep pretty well.
