This is a picture from Michael's birthday party. David, Sarah, and Daddy had fun blowing up balloons to decorate the living room in the morning. When the time came for the party, the kids showed us all how to do the Balloon Dance. Grandpa Redhage is carefully observing their technique. I don't think he ever really got it, though. You have to be less than 4 feet high to do an effective Balloon Dance.
Currently, it is raining at the parsonage. We haven't started serious flooding yet, but the Vermillion River is very high and some farm field roads are under water. The kids and I went to the Vermillion library this afternoon so Dan could get his sermon done, and we discovered that it was Book Sale Day! What a nice surprise! We took advantage of the "Bag of Books for one low price" deal. Everyone found books that they liked. Michael crawled under the table and sat in a whole box of books, but we did not bring all of his choices home.
Yesterday, the kids and Amy went to Sioux Falls to Family Wellness for a fun morning of Active Tikes for David (gym class), swimming in the pool for Sarah, and Kidzone (nursery area) for Michael.
As of yesterday, also, Auntie Emily is a Master of Museum Administration! She finished her final exam and presentation at Eastern Illinois University! Hooray! She will continue to work at the North Dakota State Historical Museum in Bismarck until she finds a permanent job (or they run out of grant money). Right now, she is cataloging and organizing a post-WWII "Gratitude Train" shipment from France. We have seen some of her work in Bismarck, but would like to go see what she's been doing lately!
